Karen is a matchmaker, marrying clients’ diverse needs and The McIntosh Group’s unique services. She takes great pride in the long-term relationships she has built and maintained since joining the company in 2005. Finding great clients that are a match for The McIntosh Group’s expertise is what drives her.
Karen’s role crosses all markets, but her strength and focus is on ADA compliance – spending a lot of time in the retail, restaurant and hospitality markets.
In addition to working with the firm’s principals to develop and then oversee implementation of the business development plan, Karen manages human resources, payroll, accounting and the administrative functions at The McIntosh Group.
Karen studied human resources at the University of Alabama and Oklahoma State University. Karen is an active member of the USJCI Senate and the Oklahoma JCI Senate, is a past president of Leadership Tulsa, chairs/serves on the annual golf tournament for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Eastern Oklahoma Chapter, and is on the Manpower Committee of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Supplier Board. In 2012 she was named a Woman of Distinction by the Tulsa Business Journal. In 2003 and 2012 she was a Leadership Tulsa Paragon Award honoree for her volunteer work. Karen is also active in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
