TULSA, OK — Mayor G.T. Bynum has re-appointed Ted A. Reeds, II of The McIntosh Group to the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (TMAPC.)
The mission of the TMAPC is “to provide unbiased advice to the Tulsa City Council and the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners on development and zoning matters, to provide a public forum that fosters public participation and transparency in land development and planning, to adopt and maintain a comprehensive plan for the metropolitan area, and to provide other planning, zoning, and land division services that promote the harmonious development of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and enhance and preserve the quality of life for the region’s current and future residents.”
The Mayor, with approval of the City Council, appoints six members to the TMAPC, and the Tulsa County Commission appoint three members. Appointed members serve without compensation for terms of three years.
Reeds is also President-Elect of the Tulsa Preservation Commission and will become President in 2018. The TMAPC appoints two of the 11 members to the Preservation Commission; commissioners serve staggered three-year terms.
Reeds’s term on TMAPC will expire in 2020.
