TULSA, OK — The Oklahoma Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Registered Interior Designers Chair David Hornbeek has appointed Brad Gaskins, AIA, CASp, to the Finance Committee as well as the Laws and Rules Committee.
“This is a great board to be a part of,” Gaskins said, “I’m honored to have been appointed, and to have been given leadership roles through participation on these committees.”
Gaskins was originally appointed to the board in January 2014 by Governor Mary Fallin. Made up of 11 members, its mission is to “protect the citizens of Oklahoma by regulating the professions of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and registering Interior Designers to promote quality practice.”
As a Laws and Rules committee member, Gaskins will take part in reviewing regulations within the industry, making suggestions for changes, and will discuss interpretations and submit them to the board for acceptance. On the Finance Committee, he will review the monthly finances and make recommendations to approve or accept the reports.
Gaskins’ term on the Oklahoma Board of Architects expires in 2019.
